ref: The international competition “Mathematics
and projecting”

Moscow region of Russia State Educational Institution of higher professional education “The Academy of Public Administration“, The Departments of Global Processes and Pedagogical Education of Moscow State University after M.V. Lomonosov and The Institute of mathematics and information science arrange the international competition “Mathematics and Projecting” in order to find gifted schoolchildren and provide their further education.
Secondary school pupils of the 8-11 forms and students of the same level courses of the secondary professional educational institutions of The Russian Federation and pupils of the same level forms (courses) of educational institutions of foreign States are invited to take part in the competition.
It will be a two-stage competition. The best works will be selected during the fist regional stage which will take place since October 15, 2009 till January 31, 2010.
The authors of the selected works will be invited to the second international stage to be held since April 1 till May 10, 2010.
The projects could be presented on one of the topics given below:
• Mathematical model of real process in nature and society
• Geometrical miniatures
• Mathematics and art
• The History of Mathematics
• Mathematics as science
• Subject e-magazine
It is recommended to arrange projects in PowerPoint. The size of the work should not be more than 20Mb. The project has to be presented to the Central Committee as zipped WinRaR file by the e-mail: Этот адрес e-mail защищен от спам-ботов. The results of the International competition will be summed up in the period of May 1 – 10, 2010. in Moscow, Russia.
All the participants will be awarded certificates at the end of the Competition. The best works will be placed on the special Competition web-site.
In the 2009-2010 competition the entry fee will be 200 rubles.
The international participants and persons accompanied them are to pay board and lodging at their own expense.
